iPhone 18 Pro Pre-Orders Open in the UK Today

Apple opens UK pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at 1pm BST today, Saturday 12 September. The phones start at £1,199 and £1,299 respectively, with general availability scheduled for Friday 18 September.
Orders can be placed through Apple’s UK website and the Apple Store app, with home delivery and Apple Store collection available. Apple has not confirmed delivery estimates, local store stock or retailer contract pricing.
Prices, colours and storage
Both handsets come in black, silver, glacier and burgundy, with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. Apple lists monthly prices of £39.96 over 24 months for the iPhone 18 Pro and £43.30 for the Pro Max, though finance terms depend on the product and eligibility.
Customers trading in an iPhone 16 Pro or later can receive up to £455 in instant credit, according to Apple. The final trade-in value depends on the phone and its condition.
What is new
The headline hardware change is a 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture — an iPhone first, according to Apple. It offers ƒ/1.48, ƒ/1.8, ƒ/2.8 and ƒ/4.0 settings, with automatic adjustment for lighting and depth of field, plus manual aperture controls in the Camera app.
Both models use Apple’s A20 Pro chip, while a next-generation vapour chamber is intended to improve sustained performance. Apple says the chip has 50% higher memory bandwidth than A19 Pro and a GPU up to 40% faster, but those are company claims rather than independent benchmarks.

For that increase, buyers get Apple’s new camera system, an A20 Pro chip and higher battery estimates: 34 hours of video playback for the Pro versus 31 hours on the previous model, and 43 hours for the Pro Max versus 37 hours.
The phones ship with iOS 27 and support Apple Intelligence. Apple says Siri AI will begin rolling out in beta with iOS 27 on Monday 14 September for supported devices set to English, with availability varying by region, language and local regulations.
Why it matters
The new models cost £100 more at launch than their iPhone 17 Pro equivalents, making the upgrade decision harder for buyers who do not need the new camera controls or extra endurance.
