Nvidia RTX Spark PCs Set to Start Shipping in October

Nvidia says its RTX Spark Windows laptops and compact desktop PCs will begin arriving in October 2026. The confirmation, made during the company’s IFA announcements on 3 September, gives a firmer date than the “this fall” window Nvidia announced in May.

The platform is powered by Nvidia’s newly identified N1X chip, which combines an Arm-based Grace CPU with an integrated Blackwell RTX GPU. Exact launch dates will vary by manufacturer, and Nvidia has not confirmed which individual RTX Spark machines will ship in the UK during October.

Lenovo is first with detailed laptop specifications

Lenovo has published specifications for the 15.3-inch Yoga Pro 9n and 16-inch Yoga 9n 2-in-1. Both can be configured with up to a 20-core Grace CPU and a Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores.

  • The Yoga Pro 9n has a 2,560 x 1,600 OLED display, up to 128GB of unified memory, up to 4TB of storage and a listed weight of 1.65kg.
  • The Yoga 9n 2-in-1 has a 2,880 x 1,800 OLED touchscreen, up to 64GB of unified memory, up to 2TB of storage and includes Lenovo’s Yoga Pen Gen 2.

Lenovo’s UK RTX Spark page lists the machines as “Coming Soon”, with no UK price or firm release date. Nvidia has also named ASUS, Dell, HP, Microsoft Surface and MSI as expected partners, while Acer has shown a compact RTX Spark desktop design.

Two N1X configurations are planned

The higher-end N1X configuration pairs a 20-core Grace CPU with 6,144 Blackwell CUDA cores and supports between 24GB and 128GB of unified memory. It is planned for both laptops and compact desktops.

A lower-tier laptop-only version uses an 18-core Grace CPU, 5,120 CUDA cores and between 24GB and 32GB of unified memory. It has not been confirmed for compact desktop systems.

Nvidia claims the top platform can deliver up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance and run models with up to 120 billion parameters locally. It also says RTX Spark laptops can provide all-day battery life and play supported AAA games at 1440p above 100 frames per second, though these claims have not yet been independently tested.

A new Windows-on-Arm contender

RTX Spark expands the Windows-on-Arm market beyond Qualcomm-based machines and brings Nvidia’s CUDA and RTX software ecosystem into laptops and small desktops. Microsoft says Windows on Arm’s Prism emulator will support 32-bit and 64-bit x86 applications, but real-world compatibility for specific software and games will need checking after launch.

For UK buyers, the promise is a potentially powerful new type of Windows laptop for local AI work, creative tasks and gaming. The practical questions are still price, battery life, application compatibility and which models will actually reach British shops in October.

Why it matters

RTX Spark could give UK laptop buyers a new Windows-on-Arm option built around Nvidia’s RTX and CUDA software ecosystem, rather than Qualcomm silicon alone. The headline performance claims are ambitious, but buyers should wait for independent testing and check the compatibility of their essential Windows apps and games. UK pricing and the precise models arriving here in October remain unconfirmed.
