Our Take
The Galaxy Watch4 Classic is Samsung's answer to people who want a proper smartwatch that actually looks like a watch. It's the more traditional sibling to the standard Watch4, sitting at the premium end of Samsung's wearable lineup and targeting folks who've spent years wearing proper mechanical watches but fancy the tech side of things. If you want notifications, fitness tracking, and Samsung Pay on your wrist without it looking like a fitness gadget, this is it.
Where it genuinely shines is the rotating bezel – honestly, it's brilliant for navigation and feels satisfying to use. You get the Exynos W920 processor with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage, which handles everything I throw at it without stuttering. The 40mm or 46mm options come in stainless steel with a proper sapphire crystal, and the battery will comfortably last 2-3 days depending on how hammered you go with the always-on display. Swim tracking works, sleep tracking is solid, and ECG and blood oxygen monitoring are genuinely useful health features, not throwaway gimmicks.
Against the Apple Watch (if you've got an iPhone), this is cheaper and doesn't lock you into the Apple ecosystem as tightly – your Watch4 works fine with most Android phones. Compared to Garmin's sports watches, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic is better for everyday wear and notifications, though Garmin absolutely crushes it on battery life if you're serious about running. Before you order, check the band sizing carefully – Samsung's sizing runs true, but you might want to try it on first. The box includes just the watch, charging dock, and a couple of strap options, so factor in buying extra bands if you want variety.
